Apr 16, 2018Romano passed away peacefully in his home with loved ones by his side Wednesday morning, April 4, 2018. He was 62. Tony was born in Randazzo, Sicily to Salvatore and Elvira Romano, and spent most of his life in Bristol. Tony attended Bishop Egan and graduated from Bristol High, Class of 1974. His early career was spent at Purex Corporation, and then later at Rohm & Haas and Dow Chemical, where he spent the past 33 years. Although his official title was Operator, he was also a confidant, mentor, cook, gracious host and trusted friend. He will be truly missed by all who were fortunate to work with him. Tony (TR, Rocket, The Brain) wore a warm smile on his face and his heart on his sleeve. He enjoyed talking with everyone. A trip to the corner Wawa would take well over an hour. His pantry was always stocked with canned tomatoes and pasta bought in bulk. He just could not pass up a good sale. His greatest joy in life was sharing a delicious meal with family and friends. If you knew Tony you more than likely knew his fried peppers as well. His stories and words of wisdom will be missed by many. Through his life, Tony taught us all that in kindness and generosity comes real strength.
